About MovieReleaseDate.in

MovieReleaseDate.in is a release calendar for films showing in India. We track theatrical and OTT release dates for Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi and English-language films, and publish short news reports when a date, certificate, trailer or cast change affects a film we cover.

What you will find here

• Movie pages with the current release date, a label that says how certain that date is (Confirmed, Expected, Reported or TBA), OTT information where it has been announced, cast and crew, and a release date history when a date has moved.
• Calendars by week, month, year, language and industry, for example upcoming movies 2026 and this week's releases.
• News that separates what is confirmed from what is only being reported, with links to the original sources.

How information is gathered and verified

Release dates are taken from official studio and distributor announcements, official trailers and posters, certification records from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and reports in established trade and news publications. A date is only labelled Confirmed when it comes from an official source. Dates from trade or media reports are labelled Reported until they are confirmed. Movie pages list their sources and show the date the release information was last checked.

The full process, including how we use software tools when drafting, is described in our editorial policy. Mistakes are fixed under our corrections policy.
