Corrections policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
Release dates change often and we sometimes get things wrong. When that happens we fix the page and, where the error mattered, say so.
How to report incorrect information
Use the contact page or email support@moviereleasedate.in with:
- the URL of the page that needs correcting;
- what is wrong and what the correct information is;
- a link to the source (for example an official announcement, trailer or CBFC record).
What happens next
- We check the report against the source you provided and our own sources.
- If the page is wrong, we update it. We aim to correct release dates within two working days of verifying the report.
- If we cannot verify the claim, the page is left unchanged or the item is relabelled (for example, from Confirmed to Reported) until it can be verified.
Correction notes
- Release date changes are recorded in the movie page's release date history, with the old date, the new date and a note about the change.
- Factual errors in news articles (wrong names, dates, figures or attributions) are corrected in the text, the article's updated date is changed, and a short correction note is added where the error changed the meaning of the article.
- Spelling, formatting and broken links are fixed without a note.
Removal requests
We do not remove accurate information simply because a date has changed; the change is recorded instead. Copyright complaints are handled under the copyright policy.
