Nakhrewaalii Story
The makers call it a 'womantic comedy'. The poster line reads "Kabhi kabhi pyaar mein Majnu ko bhi Laila banna padta hai", and the first look showed Ansh Duggal in a ghagra. The film flips usual gender roles for laughs while touching on women's safety and social norms.
Release status
Nakhrewaalii was announced in July 2024 for Valentine's Day 2025 and then held back. On 29 September 2026 Variety India reported a direct Netflix premiere in November. The makers then changed course: on 12 October 2026 they unveiled the poster and announced a theatrical release on 30 October 2026, reported by Times of India and Variety India, and the trailer followed on 15 October (Bollywood Hungama, Cinema Express). We now treat 30 October in cinemas as the confirmed date. A streaming date will be added once one is announced.

What the trailer shows
The makers pitch it as a "womantic comedy". The poster's tagline, "Kabhi Kabhi Pyaar Mein Majnu Ko Bhi Laila Banna Padta Hai", flips the Majnu-Laila dynamic, and the trailer pokes fun at double standards men apply to dating and marriage.
A debut that came second
The film was meant to launch Ansh Duggal. Because of the delay, he made his screen debut first in Don't Be Shy, which premiered on Prime Video on 25 September 2026.
