Moonwalk Story
No detailed synopsis is official. The makers describe Moonwalk as a family entertainer that puts music, dance and comedy first, with Prabhu Deva's dancing set to Rahman's songs at its centre.
Release date and status
Wikipedia's list of 2026 Tamil films places Moonwalk on 6 November 2026, the Diwali weekend. The only release update we could verify is from Daily Thanthi in December 2025, which said shooting was complete and post-production was moving fast. It did not give a date. IMDb had listed an earlier May 2026 date that has passed. We therefore mark 6 November as reported rather than confirmed.
Prabhu Deva and Rahman, again
The pair first came together on Kadhalan (1994) and followed it with Love Birds, Mr. Romeo and Minsara Kanavu. Moonwalk is their first film together in 28 years since Minsara Kanavu. The title refers to Michael Jackson's signature dance move. Rahman composes the music and also appears on screen, according to the cast lists.
