Ice Age: Boiling Point Story

Manny, Diego, Sid, Ellie and Buck Wild are back. The opening scene shown at CinemaCon 2026 has Scrat and Baby Scrat escaping a volcanic eruption, and the teaser confirms that Crash and Eddie return too. A full plot has not been released.

Release date and status

Boiling Point opens in US cinemas on 5 February 2027. It was first set for 18 December 2026. After Avengers: Doomsday moved to that date, the film was shifted to avoid competing with Doomsday and Dune: Part Three. The new date was announced with the title at Destination D23 on 30 August 2025. Disney has not yet announced an Indian date or dubbed versions, so we mark the date as expected.

A new studio for Ice Age

This is the first theatrical Ice Age film not made by Blue Sky Studios, which closed in April 2021. 20th Century Animation is producing it. John Leguizamo revealed in September 2024 that a new film was in development, and production was announced at the D23 event in Brazil that November.

The teaser trailer came out on 4 June 2026. More footage was shown at D23 in August 2026 and at Comic-Con Málaga on 3 October 2026.
