Shrek 5 Story
Shrek and Donkey team up for another wild adventure in a big city, and the film introduces Shrek and Fiona's three children as they grow up.
Release date
Shrek 5 was first dated for July 2026 and then for 23 December 2026. In 2025 Universal moved it to 30 June 2027, as Variety reported, partly to make room for the Minions 3 schedule. The official teaser has been released. We treat 30 June 2027 as the confirmed US date. Universal's films usually reach India within days of the US release, and we will add the India date when it is announced.
Who is back
The three main stars return. Zendaya voices Felicia, the oldest of the Shrek children, now a teenager. The teaser also showed a new 3D look for the characters, which got mixed reactions online.
