Ramayana: Part 2 Release Date: Diwali 2027 (Expected)

Part 2 is expected to cover the later chapters of the epic, leading to the war in Lanka between Ram's army and Ravana. The makers have not shared a detailed synopsis.

Release date status

The official announcement only named Diwali 2027. Wikipedia and several trade listings now show 29 October 2027, which falls in that Diwali window, so we use it here and mark it expected, not confirmed. On 18 October 2026 Sandeep Reddy Vanga moved Prabhas's Spirit to 29 October 2027. The Hollywood Reporter India noted speculation that Ramayana: Part 2 could shift as a result, but the makers have not announced any change.

How it connects to Part 1

The two films were shot back to back. Part 1 arrives first, in the Diwali 2026 window, and introduces the main characters. Part 2 picks up the conflict with Ravana, which is why Yash, who also co-produces, has a larger part in it.
