Release strategy

On 5 May 2025 the makers announced a 20 June 2025 release, with Tamil and Telugu dubs. Khan said the film would be released only in cinemas and not sold to a streaming service, a decision welcomed by the Multiplex Association of India. He initially refused two cuts suggested by the CBFC, and the film was eventually cleared with a UA 13+ rating after five changes, including a quote by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the opening disclaimer. According to Wikipedia, it was the first Indian film to offer closed captions, audio description and Indian Sign Language together.

After the theatrical run, it was released on YouTube as a pay-per-view title (₹100 in India) from 1 August 2025, with local pricing in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Spain. Khan later apologised for having said it would not be released digitally.

OTT release

After its theatrical run, Aamir Khan skipped a conventional OTT deal and released the film on YouTube on 1 August 2025 for ₹100 in India, with local pricing in several other countries. Wikipedia notes later reports that it would also stream on SonyLIV.

R. S. Prasanna directed from a script by Divy Nidhi Sharma, and Khan and Aparna Purohit produced for Aamir Khan Productions. Genelia Deshmukh co-stars, her first time acting opposite Khan, alongside ten debutant actors. Filming took about four months in India and wrapped in June 2024.

Music

Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, who also scored Taare Zameen Par, composed the songs to lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and Ram Sampath composed the background score. Zee Music Company released the album.
