Vrushakarma Release Date: 4 December 2026

The makers have not released an official synopsis. IMDb lists the film as an action fantasy mystery thriller with horror elements, starring Naga Chaitanya.

Release date and status

Naga Chaitanya announced on X that Vrushakarma releases on 4 December 2026 ("A mythic spectacle unfolds #VrushaKarma on 04.12.26"), and Telangana Today and other outlets reported it. The first teaser, released in late September 2026, carried the same date. IMDb still shows a placeholder date, so we treat 4 December as expected until certification and bookings confirm it. FilmiBeat lists Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions.

The team

Karthik Varma Dandu directed the 2023 supernatural hit Virupaksha, and Vrushakarma continues his partnership with Sukumar. BVSN Prasad produces through Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra with Sukumar Writings, and Bapineedu presents. Ishan Saksena of IVY Entertainments is a co-producer. Reports credit Sukumar with the story or screenplay. The project was known as NC24 during development.

Glimpse and teaser

The first glimpse came out on 5 March 2026. It shows a possessed man, played by Laapataa Ladies actor Sparsh Shrivastava, sketching a man with one eye gouged out. A bat-like creature then kills that man exactly as drawn. The voiceover says, "When an unparalleled power awakens... when creation deviates from its purpose... destiny will choose its own course." The makers have revealed that Meenakshi Chaudhary plays Daksha and Jayaram plays Professor Ranganath. Telugu reports on the September teaser said it hints at a revenge story involving rebirth.
