King 100 Release Date: 24 December 2026 Expected

A man rises from poverty to great wealth, going from being called a loser to being crowned the King, before he gets caught up in a Rs 50,000 crore financial scam.

Release date and status

Annapurna Studios released the title glimpse on 29 August 2026, Nagarjuna's 67th birthday. It confirmed the title King 100 and a worldwide theatrical release on 24 December 2026, for Christmas. IMDb lists the same date. We label it expected until certification or bookings confirm it.

Nagarjuna's milestone

As the title says, this is Nagarjuna's 100th film. He has called it a "complete commercial entertainer". It is produced by Annapurna Studios, the Akkineni family's studio, with Manam Enterprises. The Indian Express notes that it reunites him with Tabu after 28 years. They were paired in several 1990s Telugu and Hindi films, including Ninne Pelladata.

The glimpse

The 80-second glimpse opens with Nagarjuna's voiceover: "There are two kinds of people in the world, the rich and the poor." It moves through cash, gold bars, luxury cars and horse racing to a Rs 50,000 crore scam, riots and officials turning against him. It ends with his character rescuing a baby from what looks like a house fire, in the rain, hinting at a father-daughter story. One line reads: "They called me a loser when I had nothing. But once I became rich, they started calling me The King." The film reportedly uses de-ageing technology to show the character from age 25 to 60.
