Police Company Story
According to the makers, the film is inspired by true events and real people. It looks at the circumstances in which the Mumbai police killed around 300 gangsters during its fight against the underworld, roughly in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Release date
Ram Gopal Varma announced 4 June 2027 together with the first poster in October 2026. Times of India, CNBC TV18 and Bollywood Hungama carried the announcement. The date comes from the director and producers, so we mark it confirmed.
Back to the world of Company
Varma made his name with Mumbai crime films such as Satya (1998) and Company (2002), and the title deliberately points back to Company. This time the story is told from the police side. Daya Nayak, whom Rane plays, became one of the best-known names among Mumbai's encounter officers. Earlier films, including Ab Tak Chhappan, were loosely inspired by the same period.
